At Surcee Studios, we know your time is valuable. This policy exists to keep our classes running smoothly, to be fair to instructors and fellow members on waitlists, and to be transparent about what happens when plans change. We appreciate you reading it and reaching out if you ever have questions.

A minimum of four students must be registered for a class to take place. If fewer than four students are registered nine hours before the scheduled start time, the studio will cancel the class. Reservations must also be canceled at least 12 hours in advance, or that class will be deducted from your pack.

SECTION 1: CLASS CANCELLATIONS

Cancellation Window

Classes must be cancelled at least 12 hours before the scheduled start time to avoid losing a class from your pack. Cancellations made within 12 hours of the class start time, as well as no-shows, are treated the same way and result in one class being deducted from your pack. Cancellations can be made through the Studio’s booking platform, the Surcee Studios app, or by contacting the Studio directly during business hours.

Late Cancellation & No-Show Policy

Because Surcee Studios operates on class packs only, cancelling late or not showing up for a reserved class results in that class being deducted from your pack, the same as if you had attended. There is no additional monetary fee — a no-show costs the same as a late cancellation: one class. The following applies:

  • Class Pack: 1 class is deducted from your pack for a late cancellation or no-show within 12 hours of class start time

The Studio reserves the right to update this policy with 30 days advance written notice to class pack holders.

SECTION 2: CLASS WAITLISTS

If a class is full, you may join the waitlist through the booking platform. If a spot opens up before the 12-hour cancellation window, you will be automatically added and notified by the platform. Once added from the waitlist, the standard 12-hour cancellation window applies. If you are added and cannot attend, you are responsible for cancelling at least 12 hours before class to avoid losing a class from your pack. If no spot opens, you will not be charged. Note that waitlist additions are subject to the 4-student minimum requirement; if total enrollment does not reach 4 students by the 9-hour mark, the class will be cancelled and your pack class will be returned.

SECTION 3: MINIMUM ENROLLMENT & CLASS CANCELLATION THRESHOLD

Each Surcee Studios class requires a minimum of 4 students reserved to move forward. At the 9-hour mark before the scheduled class start time, the Studio reviews enrollment. If fewer than 4 students are reserved at that point, the class is automatically cancelled.

What happens when a class is cancelled for low enrollment:

  • All reserved students are notified as promptly as possible through the booking platform and by email
  • The reserved class is returned to your pack in full, no deduction applied
  • No cancellation fee or pack deduction is charged to any student when the Studio cancels for low enrollment
  • The instructor is notified at the same time so she does not need to travel to the Studio unnecessarily

We encourage members to book early. The more students who reserve in advance, the better chance the class runs. Booking ahead is the best way to guarantee your spot and keep the class on the schedule.

SECTION 4: EXCEPTIONS & EXTENUATING CIRCUMSTANCES

We understand that life happens. Surcee Studios will review requests to waive a late-cancellation or no-show class deduction made in good faith for the following circumstances:

  • Sudden illness or injury occurring after the cancellation window closes
  • Family emergency
  • Severe weather or road conditions making travel unsafe
  • Studio error or system issue affecting booking

These requests must be submitted to the Studio by email or in person within 48 hours of the missed class. We review each request individually. Documented circumstances (such as a doctor’s note) are helpful but not always required. The Studio’s decision on these requests is final.

SECTION 5: MEMBERSHIP CANCELLATION (O.C.G.A. § 10-1-393.2)

Membership cancellation is governed by the Georgia Health Spa Act (O.C.G.A. § 10-1-393.2) and your signed membership agreement. The following rights and procedures apply:

7-DAY RIGHT TO CANCEL: You may cancel your membership agreement within SEVEN (7) BUSINESS DAYS of signing, for any reason or no reason, with a full refund of all payments made (minus the fair market value of services received, not to exceed $100.00). Cancellation must be in writing and delivered to the Studio address by midnight of the 7th business day.

“YOU (THE BUYER) MAY CANCEL THIS AGREEMENT WITHIN 30 DAYS FROM THE TIME YOU KNEW OR SHOULD HAVE KNOWN OF ANY SUBSTANTIAL CHANGE IN THE SERVICES OR PROGRAMS AVAILABLE AT THE TIME YOU JOINED. SUBSTANTIAL CHANGES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO, CHANGING FROM BEING COED TO BEING EXCLUSIVELY FOR ONE SEX AND VICE VERSA. TO CANCEL, SEND WRITTEN NOTICE OF YOUR CANCELLATION TO THE ADDRESS PROVIDED IN THIS CONTRACT FOR SENDING A NOTICE OF CANCELLATION. THE BEST WAY TO CANCEL IS BY KEEPING A PHOTOCOPY AND SENDING THE CANCELLATION BY REGISTERED OR CERTIFIED MAIL OR STATUTORY OVERNIGHT DELIVERY, RETURN RECEIPT REQUESTED.”

Medical or Disability Cancellation

Members who become physically unable to use Studio facilities due to a medical condition or disability may cancel within 30 days of providing written notice and documentation from a licensed physician. A pro-rated refund of unused prepaid fees will be issued.

Studio Closure or Relocation

If Surcee Studios permanently closes or relocates to a location more than ten (10) miles from the original address, members may cancel and receive a pro-rated refund of all unused prepaid fees within 30 days of notice of the change.

Military Service Member Cancellation | O.C.G.A. § 13-1-16

Active duty members of the U.S. Armed Forces, Georgia National Guard, or Georgia Air National Guard who receive military orders relocating them for 90 or more days to a location that does not support continued membership may cancel by providing written notice and a copy of orders or a commanding officer’s verification. This right cannot be waived.

Standard Membership Cancellation

Outside of the statutory rights listed above, membership cancellation procedures are as follows:

  • Cancellation must be submitted in writing by email or certified mail
  • Please allow up to 10 business days for cancellation processing
  • Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period unless otherwise agreed in writing
  • Prepaid unused class packs are non-refundable after the 7-day statutory cancellation period unless otherwise required by Georgia law

SECTION 6: CLASS PACK PRICING & EXPIRATION

Current pricing for Yoga, Barre, and Mat Pilates classes is as follows. Class packs are also subject to an expiration date from the date of purchase:

  • Single Class: $30
  • 10-Class Pack: $280 — Expires 90 days from date of purchase
  • 20-Class Pack: $520 — Expires 180 days from date of purchase

Classes not used within the expiration period are forfeited without refund. Extension requests may be reviewed on a case-by-case basis for documented extenuating circumstances.

SECTION 7: STUDIO-INITIATED CANCELLATIONS

Surcee Studios reserves the right to cancel or modify a class for the following reasons:

  • Instructor illness, injury, or unavailability
  • Severe weather or unsafe conditions
  • Facility maintenance or emergency
  • Fewer than 4 students reserved at the 9-hour mark before class start

When a class is cancelled due to low enrollment, registered participants will be notified as soon as possible through the booking platform and by email, no later than 9 hours before the scheduled start time. Class credits will be automatically returned to your account. When the Studio cancels for any reason, no cancellation fees will be charged and all reserved class pack classes are returned in full.
